Nutritional benefits

From its seed, a rich source of vegetable proteins and essential fatty acids, hemp vegetable oil is increasingly used for its nutritional benefits. To promote a good nutritional balance, the ANSES (National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety) has established food consumption guidelines. Hemp vegetable oil is naturally composed of a good proportion and ratio of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) omega 6/omega-3 according to the ANSES. They participate in the proper functioning of the body and are known for their preventive role in the development of cardiovascular diseases, cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, or other metabolic syndrome.

In addition to its richness in essential fatty acids, hemp oil contains vitamin E and phytosterols, natural antioxidants. Their interest? To fight against the free radicals resulting from the peroxidized lipids by neutralizing them. This antioxidant property confers a protective role on the cellular membranes and the walls of the blood vessels. It is thus of interest to fight against many cardiovascular pathologies (atherosclerosis, cholesterol, etc. …).

Directions for use :

1 to 2 tablespoons of hemp oil will serve to cover the daily recommended intake of omega-6 and 3.

In cooking, avoid heating it. Omega-3 is fragile and unstable during cooking. This is why we prefer to use hemp oil only as a seasoning. Its nutty/hazelnut taste will be perfect to accompany your salads, your fish, or your soup.

Other complementary vegetable oils :

Flax or Perilla oils are very interesting in nutrition because they are particularly rich in omega-3. They help balance the omega-3/omega-6 ratio. The ANSES recommends a ratio of 1 to 4, but at present, it would seem that this ratio is more like 1 omega-3 for 20 omega-6.

In concrete terms, from the age of 25 onwards, the production of collagen, this small protein that helps structure our skin, is reduced. It is then that we see the appearance of slight lines and small folds, it starts in the middle of the eyebrows, then it spreads to the forehead, the corners of the eyes, etc… This decline in collagen production but also elastin is responsible for the loss of elasticity of the skin.

Consisting mostly of fatty acids, Hemp oil will help the skin to regenerate and produce collagen. Moreover, its rich composition in vitamins, in particular vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, will make this oil an excellent anti-aging remedy. Indeed, by fighting against free radicals, one of the major causes of tissue aging, Hemp oil will reinforce its action against wrinkles and aging skin.

Application advice:

massage a few drops of Hemp oil morning and evening on your skin. Orally, 1 to 2 tablespoons of Hemp oil will cover the daily recommended intake of omega-6 and 3.

Additional essential oil(s) :

against wrinkles, you can add 1 drop of essential oil of Rose Geranium to your Hemp oil (4 drops) to increase its effectiveness.

Other adapted vegetable oils:

Hemp oil is very interesting in the case of skin aging thanks to its rich antioxidant composition. Other vegetable oils can also be used in this case such as Rose Hip, Apricot Kernel, or Prickly Pear.

Dry and dehydrated skin requires special care. This care can be provided by fatty acids, natural components of our sebum but also of our cell membranes. Hemp plant oil from Hemponix thus helps to rebuild the skin’s lipidic film. Several studies show an interest in adding hemp oil to an emulsion to moisturize the skin. Its interest is visible at a low percentage of 3% of vegetable oil only.

Application advice:

massage a few drops of Hemp oil morning and evening on your skin to make the oil penetrate well.

Other adapted vegetable oils:

Hemp oil is very interesting for dry skin but Shea butter, Wheat germ, or Hazelnut are also very nourishing in this case.
